John became artistic at an early age. His first job was hand planing a board in a cabinet shop, at the age of 14.
He took a small piece of wood home and carved it into a figurine. That opened his young eyes to the world of wood
and woodworking, and he hasn't stopped working with wood since.

John has had a deep love for wood for a very long time. The wood speaks to him - he studies the grain and patterns and colors and then then magically it becomes something. He has made boxes, briefcases, crates, business card holders, bowls, furniture, signs, jewelry, you name it. Big and small, they are all sanded and finished by hand, one by one, into a unique gift. After so many years of producing wonderful products and working so closely with so many different woods, he makes building look easy. The shop is small but extremely efficient.
Marian builds products as well. Coasters, cutting boards, pins, bowls and leaf boxes to start.
Marian has fallen in love with the process of weaving veneers. She also helps by building cutting boards, coasters, basket boxes and leaf boxes. Sometimes some little horse pins appear, and even a hamburger. (box) Most of these are made with the scroll saw. See the gallery for details.
This map shows where our products have gone to. We find it most encouraging to see how many folks we have touched: |
